Who are we?

Kirkpatrick Juxta Community Council (KJCC) is made up of a group of elected residents who volunteer their time to attend meetings, liaise with Dumfries & Galloway Council, other local groups & agencies, other local Community Councils.

We combine with other Community Councils to manage the distribution of community benefit grants from windfarm developments in the area that provide funding for local groups and individuals to improve local areas.

Elections are held every 5 years and we are able to co-opt new members between elections so please come along to our meetings or speak to us if you want to find out more about what is involved.

We are in the fortunate position in that we own the Village Hall, the Heritage park at the rear of the hall and the play park. We ensure that these village assets are available and maintained for the benefit of local residents.
